Enhancements and Fixes in Altium Designer for OS X

Altium Designer, the premier printed circuit board (PCB) design software, has recently released a series of enhancements and fixes to improve its performance and usability on OS X. These updates aim to provide designers with accurate results, improved reliability, and enhanced functionality.

One significant improvement is in the transient analysis feature, which now produces correct results due to denormalized coefficient values. This means that designers can rely on accurate simulations to optimize their designs.

Furthermore, a bug affecting the XSPICE component SXFER has been resolved, eliminating any potential issues with circuit simulations. Additionally, wires no longer move unexpectedly when placing new wires adjacent to existing ones, ensuring precise placement and manipulation of components.

In addition to these improvements, Altium Designer for OS X now provides better reliability when comparing netlist files to PCB files and generating ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) from differences. The importing changes using show differences feature has also been enhanced, providing a smoother experience for designers.

Lastly, the software now correctly expands PRINTOUT_NAME Strings in Gerber and ODB++ outputs when using TrueType fonts. Legend Strings are also expanded accurately in PCB prints, ensuring precise representation of design information.
